I have been writing fanfiction under one pseudonym or another since roughly 2001, and since 2012 under the name The Arrow. I did have a fanfiction Tumblr for a while, but then that platform got weird and I lost my account. In 2025, I decided to create this website to chronicle my fanfictionny writing, talk about fanfiction, make fic recs across various fandoms, and otherwise just be a fanfiction dork.

As a fiction writer, I'm interested in epiphanies, antidotes to emotional paralysis, strong characters, and redemption narratives.

I write fanfic when I have spare time (or am desperately procrastinating), and refuse to let myself become stressed out about unfinished plots and stories. I may return to ficlets years after I last updated when I have a bit of spare time, or not. Please accept these little bits of writing for what they are — tiny gifts to the universe born out of my experiments and explorations and fantasies.

Lately (18 April 2025), I've been diving back into the Xenaverse and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, two of my oldest fandoms, and might have something ficcy to show for it soon.

Where's the fic?

While I do aim to archive my own fanfiction on this site somehow (as I'm trying to figure out how to protect my stuff from AI, going forward, this isn't as obvious as it may seem...), right now everything can be read on Archive of Our Own here: archiveofourown.org/users/TheArrow/works
